REFLECTION_
EXPERIENCES
It's coming to an end. After going through with Typography last semester, it definitely helped with setting the pace at the start of this module. Although it was stressful, I felt that I handled stress this semester much better compared to last semester in Typography. Especially with project 1 and 2, the fact that I was taking such a long time to finish up project 1 and had to push back my project 2 as it was continuous projects, is already pretty stressful. I just kept producing more designs and kept asking for feedback from Mr Vinod and Mr Shamsul in order to complete in time, and I did. Overall I actually enjoyed Advance Typography, and the chance of attending The Troublemakers Manifesto Colloquium help me gained new knowledge and information. And finally thanks to Mr Vinod and Mr Shamsul's feedback through out the module which was a big help in pushing me to go in the right direction.
OBSERVATIONS
I noticed that my composition skills have improved after looking through my Typography projects. I was pretty prepared for this module, which motivated me to not only get my projects done and keep refining, but I also notice that because I'm motivated, I kept an open mind to every feedback or rejections and it actually helped me to also appreciate the module and enjoy the projects. I am also able to identify some bad typographic posters more as I am expose to more and more posters in my daily life. Mr Vinod and Mr Shamsul are friendlier and easier to approach this semester and that helped me to not be afraid to ask for feedback and get my stuff done.
FINDINGS
My motivation went downhill a little after mid term which was a shame consider I was being at my most productive state for the first three quarters of the semester. I still haven't identify what effected my motivation to work on projects, and i hope to identify it soon so it'll be able to look out for it in the future and prevent it.
