Week 05
Video shooting
We are to recreate the following Thai soap advertisement. 

Our class was split into 2 groups, one group will be doing the romantic video and one group will be doing the horror video. My group is recreating the romantic video and here's the members and our roles, with special thanks to Arletta.

Mr Martin provided us with the story board.



We decided film in the Taylor's Merchandise Shop, but getting the permission to film was a bit of a hassle. Since we didn't request for it a week in advance because of sudden announcement of public holiday due to haze. But we got it sort out in time for our filming. We scheduled the filming time from 10 a.m to 2 p.m, as agreed with the shop managers. But the day of filming after bringing the equipment from the studio to the shop, we saw that the shop was still closed. Something came up with the shop so our shooting was delayed for about 40 minutes. But since the shop opened late, we had an extra hour to film.

Our group was very cooperative and good at communication with my lead to sort everything out. And the filming went smoothly thanks to our members that we finished a bit earlier even with a delayed start.

Then its individual editing. I did a trailer first after I compiled the final video to play around with the colour correcting and some slow motion shots.

Week 06
We learnt how to colour correct with an adjustment layer and edit the video. We had to use our exercise 1, 50 seconds video to do this with a given image to follow.

Here's the edited 50 seconds video.

After this, we used the same method to colour correct and edit our soap video. I also slowed down the clips to match the original video. The audio edited will be shown in Project 1.
